Wash your denim clean with “Soap Nuts”By Denham Service Co.

Denham jeans just introduced a new campaign to wash your jeans in a responsible way – with these Soap Nuts. This new campaign is part of the brand Fall/Winter “Soap Nuts ” collection consisting 5 new denims options in both rigid and stretch selvedge.

Every Denham jeans of the “Soap Nuts” range is delivered with actual soap nuts. The natural soap founded in these berries is called saponin. Saponin is a natural cleaner that works as a surfactant, breaking the surface tension of the water to penetrate the fibers of your clothing, lifting stains from the fabric, and leaving dirt suspended in the water that is rinsed away.

How it works? Put 4-6 Soap Nuts in a muslin bag and place in washer. Wash as usual with cold water. After washing, remove bag and let dry. The Soap Nuts may be re-used several times until the shells start to become soft and grey, and then they should be composted. Which makes it also a no-waste project.
