Here it is, the new iPhone 5. After months of rumors Apple introduced today their new accomplishment. The iPhone 5 features a 4 inch touch screen and will be, according to Apple, the thinnest smartphone available. It will carry Apple’s newest software, iOS6 and can use the 4G LTE network.

Apple updated the camera as well, they added a panaroma mode to the camera and the lens features now a sapphire glass. Another new feature is that Facetime is available via 3G instead just wifi.

As mentioned Apple introduced it as the thinnest smartphone available, it counts only 7.6 mm and is 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 will be available in two colors, black and white. The American price for the iPhone 5 shall be the same as the iPhone 4S, this could mean the iPhone 5 will cost €599 for the 16GB version.

The pre-order in the USA starts on the 14th of September and the iPhone 5 will be available on the 21st of September in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hongkong and Singapore. Other countries will follow on the 28th of September and so on. In December the iPhone will be available in 100 different countries at 240 operators.
